I heart this song. [16 Feb 2007|06:19pm]

these three girls behind me in the OC are ranting off the most random and sometimes bullshity facts, and saying "oh, I can see how that works..."

for instance:

-the use of electronic gadgets is shifting the earth's magnetic field. By the year 2047, the North Pole will be located in or around Kansas, and the South Pole will be just off the coast of East Africa.
-ancient egyptians used cobra skins as condoms
-Winston Churchill was born with a third nipple, which he removed himself with nail clippers at the age of 14.
-when subject to an electric current of at least 15 volts, a cat's tail will always point north.
-within the first 30 minutes that your tonsils are removed, they will bounce higher than a rubber ball of the same size.

and heres a website with more random facts, just cause I'm bored

[ mood | bored ]

I haven't posted in here foreverrrr... mostly because it kind of annoys me now, but I'm desperate and bored and I have an hour before my next class and nothing to study for.

I might have to retake RHT 160... there's like $900 I don't have that would come out of my pocket. Hopefully my decrepit old prof hasn't retired so I can convince her that either she messed up or I deserve the extra .01 I need for a 3.0.

my monetary situation is kind of rocky atm, i still have books to buy (haha) and bills to pay, plus i have to save up for christmas, Dublin/London (yea again... but it'll be cheap because my brother is amazing and covering a lot of it for me), still have gas money and something to spend every week so i can stop wearing the same 2 pairs of jeans and 4 t-shirts every day, and then save up money for a mutual fund and because having something in the bank is always a good idea. All this when I make like $350.00 every 2 weeks, and whatever I pull in at Big Boy, and maybe an extra $20 a week when I start to model.

not real model, model as in sit still for 2 hours while some old ladies paint me.

my painting class is interesting so far, at least I'll finally figure out what the hell I'm doing.

This weekend I want to go take pictures so I have something to paint (I miss it, too), go to the zoo maybe, and definitely go to a cider mill/apple orchard. And maybe fishing. And on nature walks and stuff. And a bonfire! Now doesn't all that sound awesome?

thats about all the LJ blogging I have in me.

so I already took this, but I was bored and I took the time to answer carefully. It's really really really weird how well I think this describes me. Really weird.

INFJ - the counselor

You scored 27% I to E, 15% N to S, 28% F to T, and 31% J to P!

Your type is best summed up by the word "counselor", which belongs to
the larger group of idealists. Only 2% of the population share your
type. You are so empathic that you often know what others need before
they know themselves. You are a complex person who can deal with
complicated issues and people, almost prefer to, as you love problem
solving. You can be something of an idealist or perfectionist, and
should try to take yourself a little less seriously.

You are a supportive and insightful romantic partner, encouraging your
mate to have dreams and work hard to make those dreams come true.
Because you are so creative, you have a wealth of ideas to help them
toward those goals. You need harmony so much that you are driven to
resolve conflict quickly, as long as the terms don't violate your
ethics. You feel the most appreciated when your partner admires your
creativity, trusts your inspirations, and respects your values. It is
also vitally important that your partner be open and emotionally
available - in other words, that they be willing to share themselves
completely.

I worked for 10 hours and made $43. That is $4.30 an hour.

My pen also broke open and is all over my pants.

I also pulled my back carrying a bus tub.

...today was rough.

its almost three and I'm home alone and kind of a baby and afraid to go to sleep because of aforementioned aloneness. So I just may stay up until it gets light out, and then go to sleep because I'm a baby haha.

Work was good today I guess... I made money for once but I was there till 12:30 so I would have been pissed if I didn't. I didn't make much for how long I was there though... if it were hourly it would be like $7 an hour and thats including the 2.65 I make an hour. LAAAAAME!! I showered, but I swear my body like emits the smell of Big Boy or something cause I still smell it.

so I guess I won't be lame and I'll go to bed now. Someone stay with me tomorrow so this lameness can cease.

I just had a dream that me and Lillian were running away from tornadoes in Pennsylvania, but for some reason Pennsylvania was a room and we had to run upstairs into this really thin, yellow-painted tan-carpeted stairwell to get away from them, and it was really cold.

Then I dreamt me and Kathryn both transferred to a school down the street from OU called Polar Bear University.

Whaaaaaat.

[ mood | contemplative ]

I'm procrastinating going to work. It's too hot to be sitting in a poorly ventilated gym with 30 children.

Me and Kelly are back as you could probably imagine, there are pictures from our journey on my facebook and a few videos at youtube.com on my userpage which is here. I'll put the photos on photobucket soon so you non-facebookers can see 'em too.

I can't really put into a short sentence or phrase how amazing it was, so just know that, indeed, it was.

I started reading Atlas Shrugged, I'm like 250 pages in, so it should take me roughly another 3 months to finish it since the book is roughly 1000 pages long. And the longest novel ever written.

Ahh.

Some lady on the plane home asked me "Who is John Galt?"

I start waitressing at Big Boy on June 16th... scary. If anyone can find me a cushier, whimp job that is more suited for me in the meantime, it would be cool. I'm sure I'll do fine there though.

If anyone's up to anything tonight gimme a call.

so me and Kelly are in Dublin right now, in Temple Bar (go look it up :P). It's sooo awesome here you guys... we've met people from all over. I'm talking to a girl from New Zealand right now, we've roomed with people from Colombia, France, Spain, Canada and all over the USA, that have been all over the world. A lot of the people we've met have been traveling for a long time, or will be, like 4 months or more. We've been to a ton of pubs but in Temple Bar its all tourists so they all look kinda the same. This club we went to the other night was insane, it was like something from the movies with palm trees and huge chandeliers, and it was 5 stories high with lights and people of all ages and from all over. The shopping isn't what I thought it would but we have Paris and London to shop in so its fine. The people are so nice and helpful. We met these kids from Belguim who spoke Flemish and were hilarious, they thought our accents were so cool and i told them i was a cheerleader and they thought it was so funny, they were like "here take these coats and use them as pom poms and cheer" because they don't have cheerleaders over here. Its funny cause i thought everyone over her hated American accents but everyone's loved them.

It's a euro everytime i use the net and I only have a few seconds left so thats all for now. Hope everything's well at home, leave me messages so i can read them when i get on next! <3!

[ mood | a little wiped ]

so I went line dancing with Kacey Richard Katie Dave and Pat and Mike and some other people at MSU, and learned the foot boogey and the electric slide, and woke up the next morning mildly sore. A man and a woman in their like 70's taught them to us, so I've decided its extremely lame that I was sore. Starting tomorrow I am going to force myself to run 2 miles at least every day and do push-ups and stuff so when I'm walking around Europe with a 30 lb. backpack on my back I don't die of soreness on the third day.

It was a fun weekend, the line dancing was Friday night and we also went to some kids room and drank and danced and had some good ol' fun, then Saturday Kacey worked so me and Lauren slept and ate and slept and slept (:P), then I went to Ryan's for a bit and hung out over there and watched Saving Private Ryan (not the most pleasant of movies, it made me nauseous even though it was the TV version), then went back to the dorms and ran around with Katie and Shannon. Nothing too interesting today, woke up and went to breakfast with Kacey then hung around at Ryan's. Nice weekend though.

The weather is going to be amazing this weekend, I would like to do some warm weather things, like go fishing. Fishing sounds simply amazing, in fact. And nice walks in the woods and stuff. I am so jealous of East Lansing, the grass is greener (figuratively and literally!) and the dafodils and stuff have all bloomed. Stupid Lake St. Clair keeping the weather over here cool.

I bought a Target zip-up hoodie to take to Europe... it is navy blue and plain, and pretty amazing. I also bought a small thing of my face wash and a $1 bottle of Tide. None of that is too important, but it made me excited to buy it so I felt the need to share. I'm also buying a new backpack since the one I borrowed is massively huge and smells like dog on the inside, and is kind of ratty and falling apart. And I want an excuse to have my own I guess, because I big duffle bag and a four piece luggage set is obviously not enough.

Holy shit this was a long LJ post! If anyone would like to run with my lazy ass this week call me, I need someone to run with so I don't quit like 3/4 of a mile in :P.

well shit, it looks like I'm goth. [03 Apr 2006|11:00am]
If your child is Gothic, reform through the Lord!

Listed beloware some warning signs to indicate if your child may have gone astray from the Lord, Gothic (or Goth) is a very obscure and often dangerous culture that young teenagers are prone to participating in. The Gothic culture leads young, susceptible minds into an imagined world of evil, darkness and violence. Please seek immediate attention through counseling, prayer and parental guidance to rid your child of Satan's temptations if the following are applicable to your child.

-frequently wears black clothing
-wears black and/or rock t-shirts
-shows an interest in piercings an/or tattoos
-listens to gothic or any other anti-social genres of music. (Marilyn Manson claims to be the Anti-Crist and publically speaks against the Lord. Please discard any such albums IMMEDIATELY.)
-Associates with other people that act, dress, or speak eccentrically.
-shows a declining interest in wholesome activities, such as: the Bible, prayer, church or sports.
-complains of boredom.
-sleeps too excessively or too little.
-is excessibely awake during the night.
-demands unusual amounts of privacy.
-spends large amounts of time alone.
-Requests time alone and quietness (This is necessary so that your child may speak to evil spirits through meditation.)
-Insists on spending time with friends while unaccompanied by an adult.
-Disregards authority figures. (Priests, teachers, nuns are but a few examples of this.)
-Misbehaves at school.
-Misbehaves at home.
-Eats goth-related foods. (Count Dracula cereal is an example of this.)
-Watches cable television or other corrupted media sources. (Ask your church for proper programs your child may watch.)
-Plays video games that are violent and are of the roleplaying nature.
-Uses internet excessively and frequently makes time for the computer.
-Makes Satanic symbols and/or violently shakes head to music.
-Expresses an interest in sex.
-Masturbates.
-Is homosexual or bisexual.
-Wears pins, stickers, or anything else that contains these various phrases: "I am Goth.", "I'm so gothic, I'm dead.", and "Woe is Me."
-Claims to be Goth.

If five or more or these apply to your child, please intervene immediately. The Gothic culture is dangerous and Satan thrives within it. If any of these problems persist, enlist your child into your local mental health center.

~St. Mary's Catholic Church.

unfortunately guys, at least 10 of these apply to me, making me 200% Goth. Fortunately, the evil presence of Count Dracula cereal has not shown up in my life... yet.

such oddities... [26 Mar 2006|06:17pm]
[ mood | annoyed with homework ]

For such an uneventful weekend, I'm pretty worn out. Michael's friends spent the night last night and were over all day yesterday and today, and just having that many 14 year olds invading your house and space is tiresome. They're some pretty good kids though, I'll admit that.

If I worked during the weekends, I would currently be completely screwed. I had a movie response to write in french, a 2-3 page paper introducing my research paper for Rhetoric (which requires a rediculous amount of research), and a 5 page translation for another french class to begin. With all that being said I should probably not be procrastinating, but well, thats how I function. 10 minutes work, 30 minutes doing completely useless things. Well I take that back, I did laundry and finished some drawings.

So last night at like 10, while I was out, my house phone rings and my dad picks up. An operator on the other like tells him he has a call, and if he wants to connect. He says yes, and when it goes through some guy on the other line asks for me. My dad tells him that I'm out and asks who it is, but only gets an "okay, thank you sir" and the mysterious caller hangs up. Little weird I believe. If you are reading this right now, oh mysterious caller, please let me know so I don't have to worry about a stalker and/or murderer while I go to sleep tonight.

Guess its time to accept responsibility and go do more homework.
